Thunderbolt 3 Woes
It feels like for every 1 thing a piece of new technology enables it makes 2 other things more painful.
Recently this new piece of technology has been Thunderbolt 3, specifically cable length.
Copper Thunderbolt 3 cables – the ones you might have to connect 2 devices – have a length limit of 2m. My home office setup has a desktop computer under a sit/stand desk with an LG 5k UltraFine monitor clamped to it.
